KC HiLiTES, the dominant manufacturer and designer in the offroad lighting industry, began with their now famous DayLighter® lamps. The famous Daylighter® was their first shock mounted light, invented and patented in 1972. The Daylighter® uses a heavy-duty rubber gasket (bulb holder) that isolates the lens, reflector, and bulb from the metal housing and elements of weather, and it also includes a patented shock mounting system to drastically reduce vibration wear and tear. This system successfully reduces lamp failure due to vibration and has been proven through the extremes of off road racing. The shock mount system has been re-designed and updated so that it no longer requires extra drilling. Kits include 2 steel 6" round Daylighter® housings w/ Shock Mount System, optical quality glass lens for maximum clarity and Light, projection 100 Watt Halogen, 130 Watt Halogen, or 150 Watt sealed beam bulbs, precision polished and focused reflectors, 2 KC light covers, complete pre-terminated wiring harness with illuminated switch and 40 amp relay, and Illustrated instructions for easy installation.
